A Cathay Pacific pilot has been fired after performing a very low fly by at a Seattle area airport, after picking up a Boeing 777, to deliver it to Hong Kong. Although the fly-by had been cleared by the air traffic control tower, it had not been authorized by Cathay Pacific management. The copilot has been suspended for 6 months.
