Catfish Recipes

Catfish is a white fleshed, fresh water fish that can be prepared by broiling, roasting, frying or grilling. Often served with vegetables.

Some catfish have an earthy flavor. To draw out this taste, soak skinned or filleted catfish in salted water in the refrigerator overnight.

How to Make Baked Catfish

  1. Wash 6 catfish fillets and set them in a baking dish with 3 cloves of minced garlic, 1/4 cup of lemon juice, 1/4 cup chopped parsley, 2 teaspoons paprika, 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper, 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of black pepper. Allow the catfish to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Drain the cat fish and return to the baking dish with 1 quartered potato, 2 sliced carrots and 1 thinly sliced onion. Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes.
  3. Drizzle with 2 tablespoons melted butter. Serve warm.
