Cataplexy is a condition that affects many sufferers of narcolepsy. Symptoms include muscular weakness that can include sudden loss of muscle tone, dropping of the head, or even collapse. It can be confused with epilepsy and can also be triggered by SSRI Discontinuation Syndrome. Symtoms of cataplexy can last up to 20 minutes.
