Catan

Catan is a turn-based strategy video game available on the Xbox Live Arcade. Based on a the popular Settlers of Catan board game, the video game uses hexagonal tiles to represent different regions on the island of Catan. It is up to the four players to marshal the resources of the island to build roads, settlements, and cities.

Catan features a rich messaging system that allows players to emote within the game. It also features 13 distinct AIs, each with their own unique play style and temperament. These are all represented by different historical figures; Queen Elizabeth I for example, is a strong-willed player that can be generous to other players who help her. More AIs and historic personalities (including Joan of Arc and Hannibal) can be purchased in a game expansion via Xbox Live Arcade.
