Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow is a 2005 action-adventure game developed by Konami for the DS. The game is a direct sequel to 2003's Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow on the GBA, and is the first entry in the Castlevania series for the DS.MobyGames: Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow

The non-Belmont hero Soma Cruz returns from Aria of Sorrow to star in Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow. Though the game borrows from the tried-and-true formula of both Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and the game's predecessor Aria of Sorrow, the graphics were significantly overhauled for the series' first appearance on the DS. All of the character and enemy models were redrawn, made bigger, more crisp and were given better animations.
