Castlevania: Chronicles

Castlevania: Chronicles is an action-adventure game where the player's main goal is to confront and destory Count Dracula. The game was originally released in 1993 for the Sharp X68000 in Japan, and saw a re-release in 2001 for the orginal PlayStation. Like many of the games in the Castlevania series, Castlevania: Chronicles follows members of the Belmont family, as they fight Count Dracula. In Chronicles, players take on the role of Simon Belmont, the great grandson of Soleiyu Belmont. Castlevania: Chronicles is a 2D side-scrolling action game where the main player uses a whip as his main weapon. More weapons and a variety of items can be picked up along the way. Besides battling Dracula, the player will also encounter all sorts of ghouls, such as ghosts, bats and animated suits of armor. The game, like many of the other games in the Castlevania series, is considered to be rather difficult.
