There are five different multiplayer modes in the Xbox Live Arcade role-playing game Castle Crashers. Four of these modes differ in how players can get through levels, while the fifth mode is a player-versus-player arena. Castle Crashers can be downloaded from Xbox Live for 1,200 Microsoft Points ($15). It is currently exclusively to the Xbox 360.IGN: GDC 2008: Castle Crashers Hands-on (February 21, 2008)

- Arena
- Players fight other players with everything they've got
- Bow and Arrows Mode
- Players can only use bows and power-ups they get in the level
- Treasure Hunt Mode
- A race to see who can find more treasure
- Chicken Chaser Mode
- Catch chickens to be able to attack
- All You Can Quaff Mode
- Players see who can eat their food the fastest
