Fresh off the success of the Cash for Clunkers program, there is news of a new stimulus program, this one for large appliances, such as refrigerators and washing machines. The new program encourages Americans to replace their old appliances which are not energy efficient, with new Energy Star qualifying appliances. Cash for Appliances can only be used for new appliances purchased after the program has gone into effect. You will need to have your receipt to send in along with your application.
