On April 26, 2008 at 10 am a deadly fire started at a mattress factory in Casablanca, Morocco. The fire broke out on the ground floor of the factory and quickly spread to all the other floors. The cause of the fire is not yet known, but an inquiry has been launched to find the cause of the fire.
How Many Are Dead
According to Morocco's official news agency, 55 people have been reported dead and at least 12 others have been seriously injured. The fire broke out rapidly and quickly engulfed the four story factory because of the chemicals stored. There were over 100 firefighters trying to gain control of the fire as the fire started to blaze towards other factories in the area.
