Saturn Corporation

Saturn Corporation is an American-based manufacturer of cars like the Saturn ION, Outlook and Astra. Founded in 1985, it's owned by parent company General Motors.

Timeline

December 1982: Saturn Corporation is started under General Motors.c
January 7, 1985: Saturn is officially announced as a new automotive operating unit under GM.

1986: The first Saturn concept car is built in 100 days, achieving a record for GM.
1991-2002: The S-series is produced.

2000: GM announces a $1.5 billion capital investment in Saturn.

2002: The Saturn VUE is available for purchase.c
