As of 2008, her debut album, Some Hearts, is the most successful female debut album in the history of country music, and is also the most successful album of all the American Idol contestants. She also received two Grammy Awards for her work on the album. One Grammy for Best New Artist and the other for Best Female Country Vocal Performance.
Her second album was Carnival Ride and was released in 2007. In December of that year the album was certified double platinum. In 2008, she won the Grammy Award for Best Female Country Vocal Performance.
