Carrie Brownstein

  • Carrie Brownstein is currently on a break from the indie rock band Sleater-Kinney, while spending time with her newborn child. She graduated with a degree in Sociolinguistics from Evergreen State College in 1997 where she met her band mates of her first group Excuse 17.

    Since her hiatus, she worked for the ad agency Wieden+Kennedy and is currently working on a Saturday Night Live skit ThunderAnt. She also writes a blog for NPR, "Monitor Mix".
