Carole Mallory

April, 2008: Norman Mailer's longtime mistress Carole Mallory sold, amongst other things, an unpublished autobiographical novel that includes a Mailer-inspired sex scene. Harvard University bought the material for an undisclosed sum.

The collection contains correspondence from Mailer, photographs, transcripts of interviews Mallory conducted with him.

1. "There's a 20-page sex scene from an unpublished memoir I wrote called 'Making Love With Norman'... It's very steamy. Norman was a real man and he knew what he was doing."
2. (On Mailer): "He taught me to write...He gave me a hit list once—a dos and don’ts for writers. It was very funny. There were 10 of them and they were very, very good"
3. "I rejected Jack Nicholson...And I enjoyed Warren Beatty."
