Carol Burnett is an American stage, film, television, and voice actress, comedian, singer, and writer. She created, hosted, and starred in The Carol Burnett Show, a television skit comedy show that also starred Harvey Corman and Tim Conway.

Carol Burnett's mastery of comic timing helped make The Carol Burnett Show one of the longest running television programs of the 1970s and helped establish her as a unique personality. She has since appeared in recurring roles on several television series including Mad About You, Desperate Housewives and All My Children, among others.
