- "Carly earns instant negative poins with me by choosing a Queen song, this one The Show Must Go On. She looks better this week but is not taking anyone's advice about sleeves. She is taking Coach Charlie's advice about capitalizing on the vacant rock chick niche. The gospeleers are back in the background (not far enough, though), and Carly treats us to a showy, overblown pomp-rock extravaganza. Pretty dreadful. Randy is lukewarm and thinks it's disconnected. Paula has reservations; she didn't feel engaged and connected, but says her voice was amazing. Simon compliments her appearance but thought the song choice was unusual and she oversang it and lost control of it, and says it sounded angry and out of place for the theme. He predicts trouble."
