Internet rumors and a bout of the flu brought about speculation that American Idol Season 7 contestant Carly Smithson was pregnant. Smithson put those rumors to rest during an episode of the show which aired on March 26, 2008. With a wink, Ryan Seacrest asked Smithson if she had anything that she wanted to share with the audience, to which Smithson replied that she "did not." Everyone laughed, and then Seacrest pronounced that she was safe from elimination for the week. Smithson was eventually voted off the show on April 23, 2008.
