Carly Pope is a Canadian actress who first broke mainstream notoriety as Sam McPherson on the teen show Popular in 1999. Since then Pope has starred on the television drama Dirt opposite Courtney Cox, and on the big screen in the latest Jamie Babbit indie film Itty Bitty Titty Committee.

Pope's interest in acting began in high school when she appeared on stage in a variety of plays, but it was her entrance into the American entertainment scene playing Sam McPherson in the WB show Popular that led to several other roles including Snow Day with Jean Smart, The Glass House with Leelee Sobieski and Jeff Probst's Finder's Fee. -
