    Fiorina began working for Hewlett-Packard on July 19, 1999. She took over Lewis Platt's position as CEO. On February 9, 2005, Fiorina was let go from HP.

    Fiorina is on the Board of Trustees for Massachusetts Institute of Technology and part of the foundation for the World Economic Forum. She also is an Honorary Fellow of London Business School.

    In September of 2005, she became director of Revolution Health Group. Two months later she joined the board of the computer security company Cybertrust. She also became a member of the Board of Directors for Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company.

    In addition to her various positions with many companies she also wrote a book called Tough Choices: A Memoir, which was published on October 9, 2006.
