Carl's Jr is known for commercials which involve pretty girls, often in limited clothing and sometimes include a controversial performance usually involving the girl eating a burger. In 2010 Carl's Jr purchased ad time for Super Bowl Sunday.
Super bowl ads and commercials draw national attention. Carl's Jr., a nationally franchised fast food restaurant, aired a thirty second spot during Super Bowl XLIII. The commercial only showed in select areas and featured a woman getting ready for "steak dinner" with her boyfriend. She walks out to the living room only to find her date not dressed with the voiceover advising "make sure she knows it's Carl's Jr". The commercial advertised the burger restaurants steak burger but didn't make as big of an impression as other Carl's Jr commercials have previously made.
