On April 20, 2009, media sources announced that Mexico has approved Carlos Pascual as the new U.S. Ambassador to Mexico, although his selection has not been officially announced in the United States. Pascual is a Cuban-American who was ambassador to Ukraine during George W. Pascual's Nomination
