Carlos Delfino 2009/10 Season
In his first season in Milwaukee, Delfino is playing his best basketball. Delfino has gone from being almost exclusively a bench player with the Detroit Pistons and Toronto Raptors to starting a majority of the games with the Bucks.
While most of the regular season was a great one for Delfino he did have a run-in with Detroit’s Austin Daye during the pre-season that caused him to miss one start due to suspension. He missed another game due to flu-like symptoms but appeared in 75 total games for the Bucks, while starting 66 of them.
In 2009/10 Delfino averaged a career high in points, rebounds, assists and minutes played. 2009/10 was the first season in which Delfino has averaged double digits in points scored (11.0) for an entire season in the NBA.
Carlos Delfino 2008/09 Season
After spending his first three seasons with the Detroit Pistons, Delfino signed with the Toronto Raptors as a free agent before the 2008/09 season. Delfino saw a career high in minutes played equal what were at the time career highs in points, rebounds, and assists.
While Delfino spent his one season with the Raptors in the same fashion he had the previous three years, as someone who only came off the bench; Toronto allowed him to stay on the court longer and contribute more to his team’s performance.
While Toronto thought about offering Delfino a contract following the 2008/09 season, in the end they didn’t show an interest and he later signed with the Bucks.
