  • Carlos Alazraqui is an American televison and voice actor and stand up comedian. He can be seen as the irascible Deputy James Garcia on the Comedy Central reality-cop-show spoof [[Reno 911!]]. Alazraqui also has a long voice-acting resume, providing the voice of many characters on various Nickelodeon cartoon shows. He attended California State University at Sacramento and won several comedy competitions in the Bay area before moving to Los Angeles. He has been a voice performer in many children's shows and films, including The Fairly OddParents, Rocko's Modern Life and Happy Feet.
  • Latin-American Descent

Many of Carlos Alazraqui's roles have made use of his Latin-American lineage. Curiously, many of these feature a distinctly Mexican identity even though Alazraqui himself is from an Argentinian family. Nonetheless, he provide the voice of the Taco Bell chihuahua, known for it's catchphrase "Yo Quiero Taco Bell" (I want Taco Bell). He also provided the voice for the main character of the cartoon show Mucha Lucha, which is about children who go to a school for Mexican wrestlers. His most rich role, though, is that of Deputy Garcia on the Reno 911! television show. Garcia is of Mexican descent, but often shows scorn for Mexican immigrants and seems to have very conservative values.
