Football Career
Weathers played for and attended San Diego State University and went on to play four years of professional football after graduation. He played eight games with the Oakland Raiders in the National Football League and 18 games in the Canadian Football League before devoting his life to acting full time in 1974. -
Acting Career
Weathers first mainstream role was in 1975 on the television show Good Times. The following year he appeared in his first of four Rocky films. Weathers went on to appear in the film Action Jackson and the television drama In the Heat of the Night. He has since done voice acting work in several films and appears in an Old Spice television commercial.
