  • Football Career

    Peterson began his career coaching football in Southern California, first as a high school coach, then as a college coach. In 1972, Peterson took a position as the receivers coach with the UCLA Bruins. Peterson moved with UCLA coach Pepper Rodgers in 1976 to the Philadelphia Eagles, where Peterson served as Director of Player Personnel. In the 1980s, Peterson moved to the U.S. Football League, serving as president and general manager of the Philadelphia Stars.
