2009/2010 Season
This past season (2009) Nicks started all 16 games for the Saints at left guard. He was instrumental in pass blocking and protecting Drew Brees, the Saints all-star quarterback. The protection of Drew Brees allowed the Saints to have the number one passing offense in the league. 2008/09 Season
In 2008, Nicks was drafted in the fifth round and started off serving as a backup and goal-line tight end for the first few games. Then, Nicks moved into left tackle for the final 13 games of the season and was instrumental in leading the Saints to the number one team in the NFL in yards per game and scoring. That year, he also set a club record only allowing 13 sacks all season long.
