Carine Desir died on an American Airlines flight from Haiti on February 22, 2008. She suffered from Heart Disease, and was having trouble breathing. According to eyewitnesses, both of the plane's oxygen tanks were empty, a claim American Airlines firmly denies. The pilot attempted to divert to Miami, but she died before the plane could land.
