Care Bears

The adorable Care Bears began life on American Greetings cards, but their popularity boomed in the 1980s with movies, toys, a TV show, and a Marvel comic book series. 1985 was the year of their animation debut with The Care Bears Movie and their television series. http://www.bedtimebear.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6651 Each Care Bear has fur of a unique color, and a symbol on its stomach ( a tummy badge that gives insight into its personality.

Care Bears have been beloved by little boys and girls for many years. There are gently underlying themes of friendship, tolerance of different personalities, learning to get along, etc. All the colors of the rainbow and more are represented in the Care Bears. They can lend an ideal setting to any event for a preschooler.

Funshine Bear brings lovely weather to all the Care Bears, activities, and Grumpy Bear is usually the recipient of a lot of pep talks. He is another example of the unconditional love of the Care Bears. Bedtime Bear, with his half moon on his tummy, is sleepy a lot and hears many of [lullabies]] from his friends. Love-a-lot Bear reminds all the bears in Care-a-lot that there is never too much love to go around. Birthday Bear, with his cupcake and candle on his tummy, is always concerned about the birthdays of others, and that they don't get overlooked.
