Cardiac Arrest is the abrupt stop of regular circulation resulting from the hearts inability to contract properly. With cardiac arrest the blood flow to the rest of your body ceases which results in sudden collapse and unconsciousness. Survival relies on immediate emergency care usually by the administration of CPR and defibrillation.
