Caramel Corn is a treat made out of freshly popped popcorn which is coated in sticky and sweet caramel or molasses. Sometimes nuts or dried fruit get added to the mix.
Caramel Variations
The basic caramel part of caramel corn can go in a few different ways: brown sugar caramel will give the caramel corn a darker flavor, while white sugar based caramel creates a more buttery flavor in the finished product. The caramel can also be altered with fruit or chocolate flavors to give it a more exotic taste.
