Also known as the 450D overseas, the 12.2 megapixel camera includes a 3-inch LCD and a new CMOS sensor that allows enhanced ISO sensitivity. The camera uses Canon's DIGIC III processor with a 14-bit A/D converter. Canon has also introduced SD cards to the equation for the first time on one of their DSLR line of cameras. The suggested retail price is $800, extra for the zoom lens. With the recent introduction of the T1i in 2009, the XSi has been discounted and the kit version had a rebate offer from Canon in July 2009.
