Canon EOS-1D Mark III

The Canon EOS-1D Mark III digital camera by Canon is a 10.1 Megapixel camera delivering 10 frames per second. It's been called the world's fastest digital SLR.

The EOS-1D Mark III is the self proclaimed "fastest, most powerful digital SLR" in the world, shooting 10 frames each second for a maximum of 110 continuous shots. The three inch LCD screen provides a live preview of the photo to be taken. It also features an integrated cleaning system and automatic white balance. The overall design has been altered, making the unit lighter for portability. The EOS-1D Mark III uses a dual DIGIC III image processor to improve image quality and speed.

CNET appreciated the many customizable features and high speed, but thought the overall unit was a bit heavy. Engadget reported issues with the auto-focus function, noting that Canon recalled several units in response to this problem.
