  • Canine parvovirus also known as parvo, is a seriously contagious life threatening gastrointestinal disease and number one killer of puppies. Canine parvovirus was first detected in 1978 and infects dogs world wide. Parvo can damage the heart in young and unborn puppies.

    Most parvo related deaths occur within 48 to 72 hours following the onset of of symptoms. If your dog or puppy is showing signs of bloody diarrhea or loss of appetite, seek veterinarian assistance immediately.

    Canine Parvovirus can be prevents with annual vaccines.
