Canine distemper is a seriously contagious life threatening disease which attacks the respiratory, gastrointestinal, and nervous systems. Canine distemper also infects wild canids such as foxes, wolves, coyotes, raccoons, skunks and ferrets.
Canine distemper is transmitted through airborne exposure from respiratory secretions of an infected dog or wild animal
Canine distempter can be prevented through annual vaccines.
