The Cameroon World Cup Team, nicknamed "The Indomitable Lions", is the most successful soccer nation of the Confederation of African Football (CAF). Cameroon, controlled by Fédération Camerounaise de Football, has been present at five World Cups, since its debut in 1982.
At their debut, Cameroon was eliminated after three draws, including a draw in their debut match against Italy. Their best result was a spot in the quarter finals in 1990, when the team featured star players Omam Biyik and Roger Milla. They were eliminated in the quarter finals, when they lost against England in extra time.

The "The Indomitable Lions" nearly didn't qualify, when in the final qualifying round, the team, then led by German Otto Pfister lost its opening match against Togo, and drew against Morocco, which lead to dismissal of Pfister. Led by its new coach, Paul Le Guen, Cameroon went on to win its four remaining matches, finally qualifying by beating Morocco 2-0 in the last qualifying match.
Current coach, Paul le Guen, took over from Pfister, and put in place a strict regime both disciplinary and sportsman-wise. Before joiing the 'Loins', he coached Stade Rennes and Olympique Lyon, Glasgow Rangers and Paris Saint Germain. Before becoming coach, seventeen time international Le Guen played for Paris Saing Germain.
Most valuable player of the Cameroon World Cup Team is Samuel Eto'o, currently playing for the Italian team Internationale. Eto'o is regarded one of the best strikers in the world, and current all time top scorer of the African Cup of Nations.
