  • Africa In Miniature

Cameroon's location on the African continent gives the country a wide range of climates and biomes. Cameroon has 250 miles of coastline on the Gulf of Guinea, deserts in the north, mountains as high as 2,000 feet above sea level, equatorial rainforests, and savannas.
  • A Stable Government

Not a true democracy, Cameroon nonetheless is one of the most stable of all the former colonial territories in Africa. The country follows former colonial power France in most matters of foreign policy, and depends on France for defense. Relatively friendly with its neighbors, Cameroon does endure internal pressures from conflicting Christian and Muslim factions.
