  • The small town of Cameron, Missouri has seen an unusual increase in brain tumors over the last year.

    12 new tumors were diagnosed within a seven month period, causing growing concern amongst the residents.

    The tumors have affected the young and old alike, with a child of eight experiencing the health problem. Symptoms have included headaches, sinus problems, hearing problems and vomiting.

  • Possible Sources of Contamination

    The local area has a pig farm nearby, which could produce run-off into the water supply. Also, the town was once the site of an insulation manufacturing plant. These factors, and pesticide use by local farmers, will be items investigated by the CDC.
