How Cambridge University was founded
Record show that Cambridge University was formed out of an association of scholars who in 1209 left Oxford for Cambridge after an argument with towns folk. This is he basis for the Oxford Cambridge rivalry. The collages were not brought in until 1284- Peter House was founded in 1284 by the Bishop of Ely.
