Call of Duty World at War is a first-person shooter developed by Treyarch for multiple platforms. The game returns the franchise back to its World War II roots and depicts several key battles from the Pacific Theater as well as the invasion of Berlin by Allied forces. New features such as four-player co-op are also introduced in this entry as well.

The story takes place from the perspective of a Russian military conscript who is stationed on the Eastern Front and a United States marine who has been held captive by Japanese soldiers in a POW camp.
