In Call of Duty World at War, Prestige Mode is a special mode unlocked after reaching level 65. In Prestige Mode, your file is reset to level 1 along with all unlocked weapons and perks. You can play again to reacquire everything and unlock more slots for custom classes.

Call of Duty World at War Classes
World at War, like COD4, allows you to create custom classes after unlocking the ability at level 4. From there, you can choose a custom setup for weapons, perks and grenades.You choose one primary weapon, like a rifle or machine gun, and a secondary weapon, typically a pistol. Perks are bonus attributes that add a variety of abilities, like longer sprint distance or automatically having a grenade go off near your body after you are downed. Grenades vary from standard fragmentation grenades to smoke grenades and more. The game grants you a set number of class slots, and encourages you to create different classes for particular situations. Playing through Prestige Mode multiple times unlocks more class slots.
