About Call of Duty World at War
Previously known as Call of Duty 5, Call of Duty World at War is set during World War II and adopts many similar gameplay aspects and modes from previous games in the serious, with a few additions. The game includes vehicles, and is slightly more open-ended that previous Call of Duty games as there are multiple ways to complete missions and objectives. Call of Duty World at War Death Cards
Note: Death Cards are found in the form of a helmet propped on a rifle planted in the ground. Each helmet has a playing card visible on the front. There is one card per level, excluding the two vehicle levels. The cards are in the order they appear in the game.- Eight of Hearts - Thunder (Semper Fi)
- Location: Immediately after the start of the game, this card is in the second shack on the right.
- Effect: Headshots cause enemies to explode.
- Four of Clubs - Hard Headed (Little Resistance)
- Location: After sneaking through the bunker, you exit on the right side of a large building. This card is hidden in the brush.
- Effect: Enemies take less damage from bullets
- King of Hearts - Suicide King (Hard Hitting)
- Location: Near the end of the level, after pushing into the gutted building. Before heading up the stairs, move deeper into the room toward the right.
- Effect: Receive explosive pistol rounds while downed.
- Five of Diamonds - Cold Dead Hands (Vendetta)
- Location: This is the first Russian death card. It's behind the bar in the first building Reznov leads you through.
- Effect: Enemies no longer drop their weapons when they die.
- Joker - Sticks and Stones (Their Land, Their Blood)
- Location: After the final tanker busts out of the barn, head inside and look inside the stall with some dead cows and a soldier.
- Effect: No more firearms.
- Queen of Hearts - Vampire (Burn 'em Out)
- Location: In the back of a very dark bunker, barely visible. Between the first and second mortar pits.
- Effect: You only recharge health by killing enemies.
- Nine of Diamonds - Flak Jacket (Relentless)
- Location: Inside the caves, the path forks to the left and right. A small hallway connects both paths a little further down...and has a death card.
- Effect: Enemies receive less damage from grenades.
- Jack of Spades - Body Armor (Ring of Steel)
- Location: After entering the asylum, head all the way to the left to an enclosed area outside the building.
- Effect: Enemies can only be killed with a headshot.
- Ace of Spades - Undead Soldier (Eviction)
- Location: After killing everyone on the balcony, jump down a hole in the next room and look for the death card by a wall.
- Effect: Enemies come back from the dead.
- Ten of Clubs - Painkiller (Blowtorch and Corkscrew)
- Location: After blowing up the first bunker with a satchel charge, move towards the second bunker and look for a stone building with a corpse in front of it.
- Effect: Shoot fallen co-op buddies to revive them.
- Three of Diamonds - Berserker (Breaking Point)
- Location: After the fourth mortar pit, face the stairs into the main building and look for a small shack to the right. The death card is inside.
- Effect: Kill three enemies in 5 seconds to enter Rage mode. You'll be temporarily invincible, but will have a knife.
- Six of Clubs - Paintball (Heart of the Reich)
- Location: After the opening cinematic, look inside the subway tunnel to the left of your starting point.
- Effect: Shots now cause paint to splatter instead of blood.
- Two of Spades - Victory (Downfall)
- Location: After the fight in the main theater, your colleagues break down a door. Search the hallways for a darkened room with a card hidden inside.
- Effect: The HUD is minimized, friendly fire is on and you take damage twice as fast.
- Eight of Hearts - Thunder (Semper Fi)
