Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Trailer Debuts
Gamers the world over are reveling over the "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3" trailer which debuted last night on ESPN. An alert about the trailer hit Facebook last week on the Activision Blizzard game's page.c Video game news site Kotaku has already released an unofficial, detailed report on what is expected in the game—which is slated for a November 8 release this year. Kotaku indicates the game will consist of "mammoth battles that engulf a dozen cities around the world including New York, Paris and London."c
Considering that last year's "Call of Duty: Black Ops" sold more than seven million copies in the first 24 hours and reached $1 billion in sales within six weeks, the new game is an event in the making. This is the first installment of the game Activision has published since it fired the Modern Warfare series' founders Jason West and Vince Zampella—along with their company Infinity Ward—over a legal dispute.c Despite that negative complication, "Modern Warfare 3" is expected to smash records during the holiday season. As the trailer's narration boldly states, "It doesn't take the most powerful nations on Earth to create the next global conflict. Just the will of a single man."
