Call of Duty: Finest Hour is the third game in the Call of Duty series, a collection of World War II simulations. The game is based on the original Call of Duty for the PC, although it has a completely different storyline.
Gameplay
Call of Duty: Finest Hour revolves around the battles and stories of the allied campaign. The game shows World War II from six different perspectives. Players control the following characters:
- Private Alexsander Sokolov
- Lieutenant Tanya Pavelovna
- Lieutenant/Major Nikolai Badanov
- Sergeant Edward Carlyle
- Sergeant/Lieutenant Chuck Walker
- Sergeant Sam Rivers
Players must fight their way through the Eastern Front, the North African Front, and the Western Front. Players are sent on a variety of missions and fight alongside allies. Some of the missions require players to escort someone while others require players to destroy airfields. There are numerous ammunition and weapons available to players. Players can equip two weapons, grenades, and mines. The Allied countries all have different weapons. They are:

Players can zoom in with sniper rifles by pressing and holding the left trigger, a change from the standard scope view.IGN: Call of Duty: Finest Hour Review Switching weapons, shooting, and moving are similar to other first-person shooters. Firefights can be handled by taking cover behind objects. Taking cover also allows players to avoid artillery shells. If an artillery shell lands too close to players they enter shock mode, where the everything slows down.
