Used by the Soviet Armed Forces, the Galil is an assault rifle available in Call of Duty: Black Ops, the first-person shooter developed by Treyarch. This automatic assault rifle appears in every playing mode of the game, including the Zombie Mode.

In the Campaign Mode of Call of Duty: Black Ops, the Galil can be used during the Payback and Redemption missions. In the Multiplayer Mode, the Galil is unlocked at level 20. It costs 2000 CoD Points and features a basic magazine capable to hold 35 rounds. If the Extended Magazine attachment is used on this weapon, the player will observe that the Galil will be able to hold 50 shells. The Galil is a weapon with low recoil and moderate penetration. It can fire 750 rounds per minute and can be successfully used in medium to long range fights. In the Zombie Mode, it the player uses the Galil in the Pack-A-Punch machine, he will notice that the weapon gains a Red Dot Sight.
