Call of Duty 4 Variety Map Pack

  • The Call of Duty 4 Variety Map Pack is included with the Game of the Year Edition of Modern Warfare. Each copy of the Game of the Year Edition includes a download token for the multi-player maps. Alternatively, the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the map pack may be downloaded for $10. Variety map pack content for the PC version is included with a free patch (1.6) on June 4, 2008. This brings the total number of playable multi-player maps in Call of Duty 4 to twenty. Following are some details about each of the new multiplayer maps included in the Variety Map Pack.

  • Variety Pack Maps

    1. Killhouse Desolate, compact training warehouse with a variety of building mock-ups and cover points that is used for Cage Match or Team Tactical game modes. Resembles the first level training session from the single-player version
    2. Creek Original map, featuring a wide open wilderness/village area ravaged by combat, and a "cave system" allowing quick travel under cover.
    3. Broadcast Enemy communications building with confined corridors and wide-open parking lots based on the television station area from the Charlie Don't Surf level in the single-player version of the game. Expanded with numerous entrance ways.
    4. Chinatown Remake of the "Carentan" map from Call of Duty 2, featuring a foggy downtown district lit by the full moon and neon glow of the city lights
