Call of Duty 4 Prestige Mode is an unlockable online multi-player mode in COD4 that becomes available once you reach level 55. Prestige Mode rewards players with a special icon next to their name that signifies them as a "prestige" player. This special accomplishment is not avaliable for the PC version of Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare.

1. Once level 55 is reached, you must trade in all of your perks, guns, scopes and other items., and drop down back down to Private if you want to change to Prestige Mode. You will start over with an icon next to your name, indicating your accomplishment.
2. Check the Barracks to see your progress in all of the challenges.
3. Each time you level back down, you receive a special level icon
4. Ten different special level icons will be awarded for gameplay accomplishments.

Call of Duty 4 is a first-person shooter video game released in 2007 for the PC, Playstation 3, Xbox 360, Mac and Nintendo Wii. By 2009, it had sold over 13 million copies worldwide. It was published by Activision and developed by Infinity Ward. Call of Duty 4 has received positive praise from professional and private critics, and won the "Best Xbox 360 Game" from IGN in 2007.

The story comes from the perspectives of a United States Marine and a British SAS operative. Call of Duty 4 takes place during a war pitting the United States, European and Russian allies against Russian Ultranationalists and Middle Eastern rebels. The game features real-world weapons and vehicles. Locations included are the Middle East, Azerbaijan, Russia, and Pripyat.
