There are a total of twenty playable multi-player maps in Call of Duty 4 with the addition of the Variety Map Pack, released as a $10 downloadadable add-on on April 10, 2008 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. - Ambush: Large desert town with a small sewer. The road in the central open area has a few blown-up tanks.
- Backlot: Medium-sized desert town under construction with two mounted machine guns.
- Bloc: Large Russian apartment bloc area surrounding a courtyard.
- Bog: Open desert bog with a few buildings.
- Countdown: Open missile launch pad area with a great deal of cover opportunities.
- Crash: Medium-sized desert town square with a crashed helicopter.
- Crossfire: Small desert town with an L-shaped road and buildings each side of the road.
- District: Large desert town with small streets and a market.
- Downpour: Large rainy Russian farm area with two mounted machine guns and a trench.
- Overgrown: Large overgrown rural Russian area with a trench in the center and one mounted machine gun.
- Pipeline: Russian train yard with storehouse buildings, narrow underground maintenance corridors, and a mounted machine gun.
- Shipment: Small Russian shipyard with containers. Very little cover.
- Showdown: Small desert arena containing a town market and surrounding galleries.
- Strike: Large desert town.
- Vacant: Deserted Russian office building.

Variety Map Pack
- Killhouse: Small contained area with wooden buildings and open roofs.
