California State University, Fresno is one of 23 campuses in the California state university system. The school's sports teams are part of the Western Athletic Conference.
History
Fresno State was founded in 1911 under the name Fresno State Normal School. In 1921, it became a teacher's college and in 1949 it began to offer undergraduate and graduate degrees.Cal State Fresno:Fast Facts
