All six propositions addressed the state budget deficit, and all but won was rejected by voters. - Proposition 1A: Increases California state "rainy day" fund from 5 percent to 12.5 percent.—No, 34.1% to 65.9%
- Proposition 1B: Requires supplemental payments to local schools and community colleges to help offset recent budget cuts.—No, 37.4% to 62.6%
- Proposition 1C: Allows for lottery revenue to be used to address current budget deficit problems.—No, 35.4% to 64.6%
