California Polytechnic State University is a public, four year institution offering both undergraduate and graduate degree programs.

California Polytechnic State University was established on March 8, 1901. In 1924, it was assigned under the control of the California State Board of Education. Females were barred from the school in 1930, until 1956 when it became a coeducational insitution.Cal Poly.edu: History
