California Drought

On June 4, 2008 Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger declared that the state of California is in a drought. In February 2009, the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power announced their intention to mandate water rationing. The new proposed regulations would fine home and businesses who use more water than their monthly allotment.Reuters: Los Angeles nears water rationing (February 17, 2009)
